African Brass Pendant Necklace, Lizard Pendant, Tribal Necklace, Red Krobo, Green Hebron, Beaded Necklace

A heavy African brass lizard pendant is the focal piece in this asymmetrical necklace design. These authentic pendants are handmade in West Africa. This particular one is fairly recently made, but has an aged patina. I have combined some warm red and yellow recycled glass Krobo (also called sandcast) beads from Ghana, orange oxbone and vintage Naga striped beads, reddish horn beads, and vintage blue/green Hebron glass beads. Hebrons are old, and this color is relatively rare, made in Israel sometime in the late 19th or early 20th century. I use an artisan brass toggle clasp, in keeping with the tribal theme for a total length of 22” plus 2” pendant drop.
