Boho Czech Glass Jewelry
Full of color and intensity, my "Vive la Bohème" collection has that Boho vibe that truly never goes out of style. So as we drift into autumn, I will be designing more pieces of joyful Boho pieces featuring beautiful Czech glass beads to supplement my introductory Boho product sections in both my Etsy shop, ChrysalisToo, and here in my webstore.
Popularity of Czech glass beads is not new! "The tradition of Czech glassmaking dates back to the Middle Ages. The remains of the oldest known glassworks, dating to 1250, is located in Kamenický Šenov in Northern Bohemia, which remains the centre of Czech glass production today." - - - Prague.eu
African trade beads originated in Bohemia as well as in Italy, and the colorful seed beads traded to natives in the Americas were also from European glass makers including the area of Bohemia in what is now the Czech Republic.
With an eye toward the fashion colors for Fall-Winter 2023-24, I'm creating fun jewelry that appeals to free spirits, for the young and the young at heart, who adore lively colors and new wrinkles on an enduring Boho style. I love this seasonal color palette, and the new neutrals in the bottom row!
